Indian Premier League (FINAL)

Image
Since this is my last media diary blog and co incidentally the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played on the same date as the media diary is due on. The final is going to be played on the 27th May, 2018. It is going to be played between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. As mentioned before CSK is captained by the current captain of the Indian national team who is supposedly the best captain in the history of cricket, Mahindra Singh Dhoni.  The final will be watched by over 100 million people worldwide. A lot of critics have been saying that the final can be fixed (players taking money to lose). I believe that it is not possible as there is a lot of money involved in sports already. An average player makes $5000 at least to play a single match. It is apparently the 60th cricket match of the league. CSK have been the favorites up till now but a lot of experts have been saying that the show down between the two teams is going to be great to watch. As player...

Indian Premier League (Semis)

Image
After the 56th match of the great Indian Premier League played in India Kings XI Punjab recently got knocked out by the second favorites Chennai Super Kings where I think that it was one of the most entertaining match as CSK won by only 5 runs. The spinners played a great role in moving the morale of the team up. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals the first champions of the league have qualified for the top 4 along with KKR (Knight Riders) and SRH (Sun Risers Hyderabad). The future of Mumbai Indians team was shattered by the mighty spinners of Delhi yet they couldn't make it to the top 4. According to the stats right now the top 4 teams are SRH, CSK, KKR and RR. I believe that the semis and indeed the finals are going to be very entertaining an nail biting type of match. The audience is hyped up to watch these great events. The tickets are almost getting sold out in fraction of seconds. Cricket is not just a sports in Asia but it is even perceived as a religion to some in these ar...

Indian Premier League (Battle of the last 4's)

IPL is literally the only league that is on the headlines of the youth of South Asia, mainly; Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The matches are getting more and more entertaining, every single match played is more entertaining and nail biting than the previous ones. Most probably, the top 4 teams qualifying would be KKR, RR, CSK and SRH. Kolkata Knight riders which is knows as KKR, the winners of the previous season have been the favorites for this season as well as they have been the defending champions. The team KKR is owned by the famous Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan who's net worth is over USD 1 Billion. The final of this league is set to be played on Sunday, 27th of May while the Semi Finals are scheduled on the week before. An estimate by the Indian media said that over 100 million people are going to watch this match live on tv while the stadium attendance will be over 60,000 people. I will post the results on my next blog. Source: WWW.CRICINFO.COM  Below posted i...

Indian Premier League - IPL (End of RCB's fate)

Image
After an energizing and enthusiastic cricket match between the Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore which was the 39th match of the tournament and also the further qualifier for the tournament. Mumbai Indians lost their last 6 wickets for 30 runs in only four overs which is equivalent to 24 balls played which is a really low score and poor average, but nevertheless their bowling attack which is strong enough, they bailed them out to put RCB on the verge of eliminating from the tournament, perhaps making it a very interesting and nail biting match. In short, RCB's opening pairs Virat Kohli from India and Ab De Villiers from South Africa played a massive strategy of pulling of a partnership of over 100 runs which made it easier for the upcoming batsmen to play without pressure. A wise man once said that Cricket is indeed the Gentlemens game. Source: Cricinfo.com
